You are welcome at St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea, The Episcopal Church in Destin, Florida, and part of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, the fourth largest Christian denomination in the world with 85 million members in over 165 countries.
You can join us for worship every Sunday at 10 a.m., when we gather in our church sanctuary for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist (Communion) from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer. Our service is also live-streamed on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/standrewsdestin). We also have a Holy Eucharist and Healing service at noon on Wednesdays and nighttime prayer, an Order for Compline, live on our Facebook page each evening at 8 p.m.
After service on every Sunday you are invited to join us for socializing and snacking in the parlor. You will find us a welcoming community that includes long-time residents and retirees in the Destin area, summer vacationers, and winter snowbirds from the northeast, Midwest, and Canada. We are a small, but faithful and energetic congregation.
You would find it comfortable and easy to get to know us and get involved in our various ministries. As Episcopalians, we have promised to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every human being. Jesus made no exceptions, and we do not either. Our Blue Door Ministry and Bike Shop, for example, offer an excellent opportunity for serving the less fortunate in a visible, meaningful way.
St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church has been a beacon in Destin since 1928. Conveniently located at 307 Harbor Blvd. (U.S. 98) in Destin, St. Andrew’s By-the-Sea is easily identified by the copper steeple of its original church building on the north side of the highway. Before the era of high-rise condominiums and hi-tech navigational aids, our steeple was the navigational aid for the local mariners.
